How big is a double mattress?
A standard double size mattress measures 4 feet 6 inches wide by 6 foot 3 inches in length, or 135cm x 190cm. All standard double mattresses available at DFS will fit our standard double beds. You just need to be mindful of the height of the mattress - this does vary, and some extra thick mattresses will peek above the ends of lower footboards, which might not be the look you’re going for.
